DDR3,GDDR5 GRAPHIC CARDS what is the difference?
INTRODUCTION:
-NVIDIA and RADEON are the top selling graphic cards. With the developing gaming world we need much more powerful graphic cards,That is the reason why NVIDIA and RADEON move forward and presented the GDDR5 graphics which almost changes the graphics world. But still many of us faces difficulty in choosing the right graphic card that suits us most they are totally confused by these series codes and members,Here I'am going to make a small comparison between the ddr3 and gddr5 graphic cards and I will let you know that which graphic card suits you most. Let us have a look at the following
-There it says that 1GB ddr3=512MB GDDR5 may it's not exact but almost true,Now a question why such difference will arise in you let me clear that.................
CLOCK SPEED:-
DDR3: Around 900 MHZ
GDDR5: Around 1050 MHZ
-Increase in clock speed means you can work out with your graphics more effectively which gives you a fluid graphical experience
-Now for general use 900 MHZ clock is a decent one but for gamers it is not sufficient they need more than 950 MHZ to get the real gaming experience,If you are a basic user then DDR3 is enough ,If you are a gamer then you must go for GDDR5 otherwise you didn't get the real experience
PROCESSORS AND CORES:-
DDR3: It possess Approx.400 Streamline cores
GDDR5: It possess Approx.3000 cuda cores
-Increase in cores means they can share the work load so that you can work on with heavy graphics which is an essential issue for gamers, cuda core is the advanced graphic technology next to streamline core
-The pic below shows the difference in processing speed of the DDR3 and GDDR5 graphics
this is general thing to buy a graphics or video card
1.choose a well known manufacturer like xfx, palit, zotac because there are lots other companies they also produce same type of cards but its physical appearance 1ly same but its performance may low so clear with your manufacturer instead of choosing the model of the card
2.be give enough room for the graphics in your cabinet so best to choose mid-tower chases cabinet my preference goes to cooler master 690 II
3.then keep an eye on processor also because if your computer running on pentium processor means if u put high configured graphics card means no use.so be careful because if u use one old processor with ur graphics card means the newest graphics hard will lower it clock frequency to the older processor.
4.if u buy this type of card means better to buy an led panel with hdmi port to enjoy the real high definition
5.if you use more than 3gb ram means then adding the 1gb of this graphics card makes 4gb so it is equivalent to (2)powerof32=4.2gb so if the 32 bit version OS allocate only 4gb of memory only so if u use more than 4gb ram+1gb graphics card better go for 64bit OS i.e. (2)power64
i hope this may help you to how tedious to assemble pc or upgrade it
if you have any doubt means feel free to ask me
